Protecting Personal Information

Daiichi recognizes its important social responsibility when handling personal information, whether it be of our customers, business partners and outsourcing partners or of our corporate directors and employees. We have adopted the following basic policy to ensure appropriately the protection of personal information and we will make a company-wide effort to put the protection of privacy into practice, to maintain it continually and to improve it.

1. When collecting/using/supplying personal information, Daiichi will clearly indicate to the individual concerned what the purpose of the activity is. We will limit the activity to only whatever is necessary, and we will handle the information appropriately.
2. We will deal with risks of unlawful access to personal information together with loss/damage/falsification/unauthorized divulgence of personal information by applying rational safety measures on a continuous basis. We will strive to improve constantly our security system overseeing personal information.
3. We will comply strictly with legislation concerning personal information and adhere to other standards that are required.
4. We will be sensitive to the needs of the relevant individual and the development of state-of-the-art technology and accordingly review our privacy protection management and system as appropriate and as necessity arises. We will make continuous improvements thereon.

We will distribute this privacy policy to our employees and ensure that all employees fully understand our policy. We will educate and motivate all our employees to follow our policy and improve their awareness of the importance of protecting personal information.
